WHO WE ARE
We are a church focused on creating spaces where every story matters. Even more important-we desire that everything we do point to the most compelling story ever; a story of grace and redemption through Jesus! While we do have weekend services, events, and programs-Converge isn’t about what is happening in our building or on our campus. Rather, it’s about equipping people to BE the church in their homes, their neighborhoods, and their workplaces so that Sacramento can know and feel the hope that the church has to offer!
From creating a comfortable environment by serving on one of our Guest Services team, to leading families to Jesus by serving in our Children's Ministry, to crafting an engaging experience with our Production Team, or stepping out into our community on an Outreach Team-we are the group that points people to Jesus.
THE CHURCH
Since our inception we have been a church with a heart to meet individuals and families right where they are and reflect the overwhelming, never ending, reckless love of God that we as staff and leadership have received. We long to be a safe place for those starting or restarting their journey of faith, as well as a home for those new to our neighborhoods who have walked with Jesus for decades and are looking for a community to anchor their journey of faith in. Regardless what brings people through our doors - Impact will always be a place to be seen, share our stories together, and BELONG.
Our weekend gatherings have grown from just a living room full of people, to meeting in a local high school, to the Sacramento locations we are in now. However - if
Covid 19 taught us anything - it’s that the church must be so much more than just a physical address. As a result - Converge continues to grow and become a family of diverse people taking the beauty of the church into every neighborhood and home that we live in.
NO WALLS NEEDED
We have had the privilege of seeing lives changed, marriages restored, and addictions broken. Converge has been on the front lines, feeding and clothing the homeless, giving away gas, doing service projects, supporting women’s shelters, honoring teachers, filling food pantries, providing Christmas gifts to underprivileged families, doing work projects at public schools, and a whole lot more.

BELIEFS
WE BELIEVE IN GOD
We believe in one God, three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is perfect and relevant for man. We believe sin separates us from God so He sent His only Son, whose death, burial, and resurrection are sufficient for the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is through faith in Christ, not by works, but by His grace. We believe in a literal heaven and hell. We believe that Christians should boldly live out their faith in worship to God, Loving God and Loving People, with the hope of making disciples of all people everywhere. We believe it is normal for believers to be fully devoted; committing to Bible reading, prayer, sharing their faith, and serving others!

WE BELIEVE IN JESUS
As His church we believe Jesus asks us to change the landscape of our community just like He did. That’s why Converge is all about helping people develop radical faith for our everyday lives! Nothing transforms our world more than a transformed life. And we believe that God changes lives when we live out the Great Commission and the Great Commandment that Jesus taught us.

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, Counselor, and Helper sent for all believers. He makes people aware of their need for God and draws people into this relationship. The Holy Spirit, who lives within us at the moment of salvation, provides guidance in righteous living and understanding for spiritual truth.

WE BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error, and is the source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible’s truth is timeless and speaks to our everyday lives.

WE BELIEVE IN SALVATION
We believe every person is disobedient to God’s desires and plans in varying degrees. Any disobedience to God, regardless of how large or small, is sin. Sin separates an individual from God, which is spiritual death, and is not God’s desire. People can be united with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and Him alone; Jesus died for sinners. Anyone who accepts and believes in Jesus’ death for their personal sins, and desires to have Him as King of their life, is forgiven for every sin. Upon this personal decision, God re-establishes a personal relationship with that person and promises eternal life. And we believe salvation is not just for eternal life, but for this life, providing freedom and joy day to day. Therefore, every Christian should live for Christ and not for him or herself. By reading and applying Scripture, and yielding daily to the Holy Spirit, every believer should mature and be conformed to the image of Jesus.

ABOUT THE CHURCH
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the Church are those who have been trusted by faith to finish the work of Christ. The local church organizes Christians to reach unbelievers with the message of salvation, serve as a corporate body for worship of God, provide fellowship for Christians with each other, develop the gifts and talents of Christians for godly service, and practice baptism and communion.
